Cancer Patient Given 18 Months To Live Cured By Cannabis Oil

David Hibbitt had cancer and was given only 18 months to live. He had underwent arduous chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions prior to surgery to remove his large bowel in March 2013, none of which were successful, according to Metro. He said the following, indicating that friends suggested that he try cannabis oil.

“Friends had told me about cannabis oil and I dismissed it at first. I’ve never been into drugs. I felt like the chemo was killing me and I had nothing to lose. I could not really accept I was going to die.”

Hibbitt says that he treated himself with cannabis oil and that his health changed dramatically as a result. In fact, he says that doctors indicated that he is now cancer free, according to the LAD Bible.

There is ongoing debate whether cannabis can or should be used to treat illnesses like cancer. In the United Kingdom, it’s still a class B drug and has illegal status. In the United States, some research shows that the drug could be used for some medicinal purposes, and some states have legalized its use in certain circumstances, according to LAD Bible.

Although it’s aware of patients using cannabis extracts to treat themselves, Cancer Research UK indicates that there was “no good evidence” from clinical trials to prove it was safe and effective.

The United States Government has funded research which found that there are substantial health benefits that derive from medical marijuana, including killing cancer cells. The National Institute on Drug Abuse issued a report that is favorable towards the use of medical marijuana, according to the LAD Bible.

“Recent animal studies have shown that marijuana can kill certain cancer cells and reduce the size of others. Evidence from one animal study suggests that extracts from whole-plant marijuana can shrink one of the most serious types of brain tumours. Research in mice showed that these extracts, when used with radiation, increased the cancer-killing effects of the radiation.”

Now Hibbitt, 33, is looking forward to a long future with his new bride.

Another convert to the benefits is Alexis Bortell from Texas. She had epileptic seizures that were quelled by medical marijuana, according to an article in the Inquisitr. Therefore, she turned into an advocate for legalized cannabis.
