PSA: Simone Biles Is So Good, She Officially Has a Vault Named After Her

Despite making an emergency pit stop at the hospital due to a kidney stone a day before competing in the qualifying round at the 2019 World Gymnastics Championship, Simone Biles still managed to come out on top. She finished the qualifying round with the highest scores on the uneven bars, floor exercise, and vault, leading the US women to a team score of 174.429 points.

Simone's magic didn't stop there. As we reported a few weeks ago, she performed a vault no woman had ever done before at the 2018 World Team Selection Camp. The vault consisted of a round-off onto the board, a half turn onto the table, and two half twists.

Simone performed the same vault this past Saturday during the qualifying round, and because she landed it, it has officially been dubbed "the Biles" in the code of points. Way to crush it, girl.

Simone will compete in the finals later this week in the vault, beam, uneven bars, floor exercise, and the all-around competition. Find the full TV schedule here.
