Why You Shouldn’t Flush Old Medicines, and What to Do Instead

Yes, you technically can flush your old pills, and the FDA even recommends it as a last resort in some cases. (It’s one of the three good ways to dispose of old medications.) But there’s enough nasty stuff going into sewage that it’s best to keep medicine out of there if you can.
