Humans have been practicing intermittent fasting, or IF for short, since the start of time, but now it's become an incredible tool in the fitness world! The beauty in intermittent fasting is that you can eat whatever your heart desires because it's not meant to be a diet. It's more of an eating pattern, if that's what you want to call it. You can eat high-carb, high-fat, keto, Paleo, IIFYM, intuitive eating, and the list goes on and on. The goal at the end of the day with IF is to have an eating window, and once that window is closed, you don't eat any more.
The most common method is the 16 and eight split so you start your fast at any time that best fits into your schedule. Once those 16 hours are over, you have eight hours to eat. Although some people find themselves eating the same amount of calories with IF or without, a lot of people notice a reduction in calorie intake because it's easier to get full faster in a shorter period of time. IF does not lie, because these women have the before-and-after pictures to show how it has transformed their lives.
