I've taken a few CBD products here and there over the past several months, and although I've always liked them, I've never been over the moon about any of them. I smoke marijuana regularly, but I've been recently searching for an anti-anxiety cannabis product that doesn't have psychoactive properties to it, so that I can use it during times when I don't want to feel high.
When I discovered the Rocket Ships from Infinite CBD ($15 for a box of 10), I was skeptical to say the least. First of all, they're CBD isolate suppositories. ICYMI, suppositories aren't eaten. They're inserted either into the vagina or the anus, which is great for people who have trouble swallowing pills or for those who don't want to eat a CBD product. Suppositories are also great because they're directly absorbed into the bloodstream, bypassing the liver and thus quickly doing their work.
These rocket ships had blasted me off into the chill galaxy. And it felt pretty damn good.
I spent some time reading the directions and product information, and I realized that these little ships claim to pack some big power. Like many other CBD products, they're said to reduce menstrual cramps, quell anxiety symptoms, and generally relax the body and mind. I have struggled with anxiety for years, and although I've seen major improvements over the past year of my life, the looming holiday season has sparked some anxious side effects. I crossed my fingers that this little rocket ship, whose only ingredients are CBD isolate and coconut oil, would help me get back to equilibrium.
Quite frankly, I wasn't interested in putting anything up my butt, so I decided to insert the rocket ship into my vagina instead. I was definitely a bit nervous about it, but due to my increased stress, I figured now was a good a time as any to try. There are two different doses you can choose from. You can either opt in for 25-milligram or 100-milligram rocket ships. I went with the 100-milligram ones, because my previous experience with CBD gummies and oil tells me that 25 milligrams doesn't really do much.
First of all, I was pleased to see that the rocket ship was much smaller than I expected. They're only about an inch long and quite thin. I followed the directions: I laid down on my back, put my feet in the air, and inserted the ship as far into my vagina as it would go. Yep, I had to get up close and personal with myself. It slipped right in without any resistance. When I got up, I didn't feel a thing. So far, so good.
Within a mere 20 minutes, I was feeling pretty f*cking calm. I could feel my shoulders relax away from my ears, and I felt a very subtle buzz radiate throughout my body. I was the most relaxed I had felt in a long, long time. Even my husband noticed and joked, "Wow, you look happy." I wasn't high, but there was certainly something magical going on. These rocket ships had blasted me off into the chill galaxy. And it felt pretty damn good.
I felt relaxed yet productive, less anxious, and I slept like a champion.
Rather than lying around on the couch, though (which is what sometimes happen to me when I smoke a lot of indica weed), I was perfectly capable of going about my business. I packed up my gym bag for the next morning, caught up on emails, and even packed my work lunch. The only difference was, I wasn't simultaneously stressing my head off.
That night I slept like a baby. No, better than a baby. I slept like a baby that was born and bred in the chill galaxy. When the alarm went off, I wasn't thinking the typical thought, "It's morning already?!" I sprung out of bed as if I had just slept for 12 straight hours. I can't stress enough how amazing this felt.
All in all, I love these rocket ships and what they offer me.
The next night, I decided to try another rocket ship. I wanted to be sure this wasn't beginner's luck. Thankfully, I experienced all of the same symptoms: I felt relaxed yet productive, less anxious, and I slept like a champion. Each day following my rocket ship blast off, I felt neither sluggish nor hungover. My head was totally clear, and I felt like I was prepared to take on the day.
All in all, I love these rocket ships and what they offer me. I will warn you, though, that 100 milligrams is a lot for someone who has no prior experience with CBD. If you're just starting out, opt in for the 25-milligram one and see how that makes you feel.
As always, before you dive head first into CBD, speak with your doctor, and make sure your body is ready for the ride. CBD should never be used in place of a treatment or therapy. But when used responsibly as a holistic supplement, you just might experience some pretty cool effects after blast off.
