At 98 Years Old, the World’s Oldest Yoga Teacher Shares the 1 Mantra She Swears By

At 98 years old, Tao Porchon-Lynch is inspiring our lives in more ways than we'd imagine. As one of the new faces of Athleta's Power of She campaign, Tao, the world's oldest yoga teacher, is sharing what it means to live a positive life, and it's really empowering. After being told in 1926 that yoga is "unladylike," she was motivated to learn tree yoga, and now, she's spreading her journey of spirituality across the world.

"Anything is possible; nothing's impossible. When you wake up every morning, say, 'this is going to be the best day of my life,' and it will be," Tao said.

Once Tao met her "spiritual soulmate," Dr. Terri Kennedy, the two were unstoppable in the yogi world and that's why they're representing Athleta's campaign together. "The Power of She is a movement encouraging women and girls to come together to lift each other up, put an end to undermining, and together, realize our limitless potential. Alone we are strong, united we thrive," the website reads, and Tao and Terri are a perfect example of thriving together.

Watch the video above to see how Tao went from a curious young girl to an icon in the yoga world and then read more about Tao and Terri.
