Michelle Bridges, the famous Australian personal trainer, is popularly recognized as a tough trainer on the Australian version of The Biggest Loser, an reality television series. In the show, obese contestants compete against each other with the help of their trainers to lose weight. Bridges’ popularity resulted in her being featured in Your Shape Fitness Evolved, Ubisoft’s Xbox game that helps fitness enthusiasts perform various workouts and activities as suggested in the game.

In addition to helping contestants of the reality television show, Michelle Bridges has started her own 12-week body transformation program, designed to help Australians get in shape by focusing on fitness, nutrition, and proper mindset. Apart from training people to achieve effective workouts, the trainer also encourages people to follow a diet that not only helps maintain their weight, but energizes their body while staying active throughout the day.

Michelle Bridges authored Crunch Time Cookbook in which she had shared 100 weight-loss recipes, and she recently launched a new cookbook called Food For Life, with 200 delicious recipes that cater to anyone’s long-term weight loss program. Michelle Bridges also made her mark on Celebrity MasterChef Australia where she turned out to be quite an impressive contestant: she very confidently prepared Spiced Lamb Cutlets with Eggplant and Currant Couscous, her signature Moroccan dishes.

In the popular trainer’s opinion, an effective workout regime and overall good health can be adversely affected if people make bad eating choices. In her opinion, too many people who are trying to lose weight are cutting down on important foods while pursuing a weight loss program. In many instances, breakfast becomes the most neglected meal of the day and, according to the Daily Telegraph, Bridges spoke about how important it is for fitness enthusiasts to focus on having a wholesome breakfast.

“Most people don’t eat enough breakfast and feel depleted in the back end of the day. So, it’s no coincidence that three of my six energy-boosting foods make a kick a** breakfast that will sustain you until lunch.”

Michelle Bridges encourages people to have oats, bananas, walnuts, broccoli, salmon, and sweet potato as part of a healthy breakfast. Additionally, the Australian trainer recommends eating a combination of three dates and six macadamias when tempted to indulge in a sweet treat in the afternoon.

Michelle Bridges has become an inspiration for many pregnant women who wish to regain a youthful and fit body shape after delivering their babies. The trainer created a post-birth fitness regimen that not only prepares the body for coping with the realities of childbirth, it also claims to help a new mother recover from the birth in addition to restoring much-needed energy. News Australia reports that 75 per cent of women suffer from body injuries during labor while 62 per cent of women have injuries which are not healed within one year.

However, there’s a large section of women who are very skeptical about the trainers recommended fitness regime, because a woman’s body takes a long time to heal after childbirth. According to News Australia, one anonymous woman commented that it’s wrong to expect miracles from Michelle Bridges’ fitness regime because every woman has a body that’s unique.

“She [Michelle Bridges] implied that the reason why she was able to get back into it so quickly was because she was so fit before she gave birth. But it’s not that simple. Everyone has a different experience.”

However, Michelle Bridges claims that she benefited from the exercises which allowed her to re-embark on her usual running workout just a few weeks after she delivered her son, Axel. Currently, the fitness trainer has no plans to return to The Biggest Loser series as she’s too busy enjoying motherhood and her nine-month old son. According to the Daily Mail, an enthusiastic Michelle bridges is trying to be both a loving mother and fitness trainer to Axel, joking that she’s teaching her son the perfect way to do a burpee, a type of aerobic exercise.
