At just 18 years old, Simone Biles is raking in the gold medals. The gymnast won her 10th gold medal this past Sunday at the 2015 World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow Scotland, setting a new record by a female for having the most gold medals. She broke the mark that was held by Svetlana Khorkina, Gina Gogean, and Larisa Latynina.
Biles is a three-time all-around champion who scored a 15.38 on the balance beam, beating out silver medalist Sanne Wevers from the Netherlands by a point. As for the floor routine, she scored 15.800, beating out bronze medalist Paulin Schaefer from Germany. Biles now holds 14 medals since her debut at the championships in 2013 -- winning four gold medals at the last two world championships.
According to teamusa.org, Biles' beam routine was perfect compared to the others who had a difficult time -- expressing exhaustion. At only 18, she's considered the LeBron James of gymnastics -- showcasing her athleticism during her favorite event, the floor routine.
